Course fee, cancellation policy and invoice details

 

The PhD courses at the Graduate School are free of charge for:

  • PhD students enrolled at Danish Universities, except CBS
  • Foreign PhD students who are guests at a department at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences; remember to inform the Graduate School of your status as a guest PhD student.
  • PhD students from NorDoc member institutions. Please read more about it here.      

Please note: If you are an external applicant e.g. not enrolled PhD student from a Danish University or an enrolled research year student at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences we will charge you a fee for your participation in the course. You can see the course fee and read about the terms of the waiting list in the course description.

Cancellation policy

  • Cancellations must be made via your profile in the course catalogue or via email to the Graduate school phdkursus@sund.ku.dk
  • Cancellations made up to two weeks before the course starts are free of charge.
  • Cancellations made less than two weeks before the course starts will be charged an amount corresponding to the course fee for external participants.
  • Participants with less than 80% attendance cannot pass the course and will be charged an amount equal to the course fee for external students
  • No show will result in a fee equal to the course fee for external participants.
  • Participants who fail to hand in any mandatory exams or assignments cannot pass the course and will be charged an amount equal to the course fee for external participants.

If the participants does not comply with the above cancellation policy or has not attended the course due to illness or other reasons, the Graduate School may waive the course fee, if the participant provides documentation from the participant's employer stating that the participant has been legally absent from the workplace.

Documentation from your employer can be an email from your employer stating that you have been legally absent from the workplace or a screenshot from KUnet with the absence registered. The documentation should be sent to the PhD Course Administration

 

Invoice details

The Graduate School will require invoice details when you apply for a PhD course. This is to ensure payment for late cancellations, no shows and external participants. Please ask your place of employment to get the payment information you need.

For PhD students employed at KU: Alias, Unit number (and KU Spec)

For PhD students employed at a private or public company (also hospitals): EAN and CVR (Some hospitals also use PO number and/or initials)
